GERMAN BISQUE PORTRAIT DOLL OF ASIAN CHILD. Extremely attractive amber bisque tinted head with solid dome, square cut flange neck, brown glass inset eyes, closed mouth with protruding upper lip, well painted multi-stroke eyebrows and tiny painted lashes, pierced ears, mounted to five piece body through three stringing holes in the top of the head. She has a heavy papier mache body with is jointed at the shoulders, hips, and knees and has molded and painted stockings and red slippers with separately molded heels and upturned toes. The simple costume appears to be original and is made of printed cotton with lace trim with a metal sword attached to the waist with a red silk ribbon. Completing the outfit is a realistically modeled cone shaped red paper hat over a sparse black mohair wig with long queue dangling in back. SIZE: 9-1/2″ (24 cm). CONDITION: Very good with some typical discoloring to body. 1-13306 (600-1,200)
