LOT OF SEVEN HAND-PAINTED LIMOGES OYSTER PLATES. The lot consists of three 8-3/4″ plates having pink highlighted oyster wells surrounded by roses and bordered by blue flowers. Bottom marked “GDA Limoges”. Also are two 8-1/4″ plates with 5 oyster wells and central round well. Decorated with swags of flowers and gold trim. Signed on bottom “Theodore Haviland Limoges, France”, retailed by John Wanmaker. One 8-3/4″ plate with 5 oyster wells having all over flower design and gold trim, marked “GDA France”. Another 8-3/4″ with floral border and 5 oyster wells, marked “GDA France”. SIZE: As noted above. PROVENANCE: From a fine Maine home. CONDITION: Very good. 9-28560 (1,000-1,500)
