CLOSED MOUTH GERMAN DOLL ATTRIBUTED TO KESTNER. Bisque socket head incised “IX” with blue glass sleep eyes, thick multi-stroke eyebrows and finely painted upper and lower lashes, closed mouth with well defined protruding upper lip. On the original early wood and composition body with straight wrists and separate ball joints at the shoulders, elbows, and knees. Clothing is made of all antique fabrics. Wig is dark blonde human hair (needs attention) and the shoes are black and white leather with cardboard soles. SIZE: 18″ (46 cm). CONDITION: Body retains original finish. Head good other than a tiny old eye chip repair on left lower eye rim. Minimal scuff to each cheek. 1-13303 (600-900)
