WILLIAM COLUMBUS EHRIG (American, 1892-1973) “OCEAN SPRAY”. Outstanding large oil on canvas coastal seascape shows a large crashing wave and coastal rock ledge. The sunlight shines through clouds and is reflected in the curling wave. Signed lower right “Wm. C Ehrig”. Titled and signed on reverse of stretcher. Housed in what appears to be its original gesso carved wood frame with linen liner. SIZE: 36″ x 48″ painting. 44″ x 56 including frame.
