A FINE SET OF TWELVE GOLD EMBOSSED SOUPS WITH UNDERLINERS BY ROYAL WORCESTER. The 10-1/2″ plates could stand alone as service plates. Both sets are completely gold embossed with slightly raised floral motif. The pieces are marked with a blue Royal Worcester mark dated marked 1921, also stamped “Ovington Bros. Co., New York”. Also “RdNo 651926”, also handwritten in red “W/1220”. SIZE: Plates: 10-1/2″ d. Bowls: 9″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Augusta, Maine estate. CONDITION: One plate with tight crack, some bowls with stacking wear at inside rim. 9-29313 (800-1,200)
