FINE CHINESE EXPORT ENGRAVED SILVER PARASOL HANDLE. Late 19th, early 20th century, Vietnam. The gold overlay (tested 14k) surfaces with overall repousse decoration of entwined dragons, birds and butterflies amidst various flowering plants, all on a punched silver ground. The handle marked “VIHN-SADEC” (location in southern Vietnam). SIZE: 9-3/4″ l. CONDITION: Generally good with some denting to handle and to handle cap. 7-73177 (400-600)
