HESSMOBILE SEDAN. Charming German tin car in near mint original condition. A flywheel type mechanism in engaged by cranking the car from the front and then lifting a lever to engage the drive train rear wheels. Lithographed in dark blue with a multitude of pinstriping and highlighting, the car also sports tin spoked wheels. Chauffeur is dressed appropriately with goggles, helmet, and uniform. SIZE: 8″ l. PROVENANCE: John F. Gale Collection, Cambridge, MA. CONDITION: As stated above, but a light cleaning would bring back luster to roof and fenders as toy has been sitting on an open shelf for the better part of 20 years. 1-12408-23 (700-900)
