FRENCH SEMI-MECHANICAL WALKING DOLL. Very pretty bisque incised “DEP10″, thought to be made for the French market by Simon & Halbig, with large blue glass sleep eyes, lower painted lashes and silk upper lashes, open smiling mouth with four upper teeth, and pierced ears. On French wooden composition body, straight legs and feet with tiny wheels on the bottom. There is a keywind mechanism in the torso and when wound the doll moves slowly across the floor. However, at this time the mechanism is inoperative. SIZE: 23” (56cm).
