BEAUTIFUL TRANSITIONAL PERIOD JUMEAU BEBE. Bisque head incised “8” and is on the original fully jointed body with straight wrists and eight separate ball joints and stamped on the torso in blue “Jumeau Medaille D’or Paris”. This wide eye doll has some characteristics of the Second Series Portrait Jumeau and somewhat resembles an “EJ Bebe”. The eyes are undoubtedly her most outstanding feature as well as her pierced ears, softly painted facial features and gentle expression. She wears an antique pink silk print costume with oversized collar and trimmed in fine lace, antique French leather shoes impressed on the soles “8 C.C.”, a short antique dark blond mohair wig and a fancy lace and straw bonnet with high wire frame which seems to match the fabric in the dress. SIZE: 18-1/2″ (47cm). CONDITION: Overall very good with some slight, typical paint wear especially at hands and knee joints. 1-11681 (5,000-7,000)
