LOVELY EARLY BRU CHILD DOLL. Although obvious that she has some problems, this is an exceptional example of the early so called “Brevete” with amber paperweight eyes, closed mouth, blonde lashes and brows, on separate bisque shoulder plate with gusseted leather body and early cupped bisque hands. She still retains her original lambs wool wig over cork pate and wears a red wool dress in the style of an 1880 child’s costume. SIZE: 19-1/2″ (50 cm). CONDITION: Head appears to have been broken and re-glued with a small chip missing in the back of the head, out bisque layer missing on left cheek, forehead, and also a significant chip on right upper inner eyelid. 1-13304 (600-800)
