J. P. V. (Mid 19th Century) ENGLISH ABBEY. Watercolor scene shows a large connected church with other buildings and park like setting. The dirt road surrounding has fence beside, a man with saw and axe, mother and daughter and a gentleman with top hat and umbrella. Signed lower right “JPV 1850”. Housed in a modern wood linen lined frame with white matte. SIGHT SIZE: 16-3/4” x 23-1/2”. CONDITION: An old fold with small tear on right corner side. Otherwise very good. 9-26273 (300-500)
