MASSACHUSETTS SHERATON TIGER MAPLE AND BIRCH BOW FRONT SIDEBOARD. First quarter 19th century. This diminutive bow front example in the manner of Alden Spooner, Athol, Mass. The rectangular top with bow front, turret corners, and a scrolled splash guard above the conforming case fitted with a pair of aligned short drawers above a pair of bowed cupboard doors flanked by deep bottle drawers above a long bow front drawer. flanked by swelled cylindrical reeded pilasters. Raised on swelled and ring-turned urn form legs terminating in ball feet. SIZE: overall 45″h, 43″ w, 22″d. CONDITION: Professionally re-polished, retaining original splash guard and wooden knobs with good honey color and patina. Small shrinkage crack left side panel facing. 9-97412 (8,500-10,000)
