Three-quarter oil on canvas portrait shows a young woman with curly black hair seated in a red upholstered armchair wearing an elegant gray dress with lace trim. She holds a sheer, lace shawl around her arms and in her lap she holds a green book. Red drape on left side and water and tree landscape on her right. Housed in its period gesso decorated gold frame.
