14″ FULLY ARTICULATED WOODEN BODY BRU FASHION DOLL. This doll along with the following three dolls have been tucked away in a private collection for many years. As opposed to the Bru smiler, this lady has more of a pondering thoughtful look and this style is what usually is found on the fully articulated wooden body. Extremely pale bisque, finely detailed facial features and very pale blue paperweight eyes. She is marked on the rear of her head “D”, kid glued in place and covering shoulder plate where mark is usually found. She retains her original mohair wig (loose and one can see where dirt line is). Currently dressed in her white formal attire but a bevy of accessories and clothing are included in this lot; a fine vintage formal blue dress with train, a blue cotton dress with embroidery and train, many layers of underwear, another hat, ivory handled parasol, gloves etc. are some of the items accompanying this doll. A unique opportunity to purchase a Fashion with its true wardrobe and not a wardrobe that has been assembled. SIZE: 14″ t. CONDITION: Bisque head appears to be free of any damage as well as shoulder plate. Body overall is on outstanding original finish with minimal wear, most noticeable to fingers. 1-9626 (5,500-7,500)
