DOOR OF HOPE FEMALE YOUTH DOLL. Also known as “Young Girl in Silk”, this outstanding early example has mitt hands, colorful outfit and an elaborate bonnet. This female youth is quite expressive in regards to her facial features. She also has long hair as was the custom of the young girls of that time. Upon examination and the study of Door of Hope dolls, it becomes difficult to pick favorites and/or desirability by production age of these wonderful dolls. SIZE: 8-1/2″. CONDITION: Slight fading to clothing, otherwise very fine plus. 1-9614 (800-1,200)
