EXCEPTIONALLY NICE COLUMBIA RAG DOLL. American doll made for the Columbian Exposition in 1893 by the Adams’ sisters of Oswego, New York. She has molded and painted head and shoulders, cloth body which is jointed at the shoulders, hips and knees and with a slight covering of paint on the lower arms and legs. The clothing is all at least of the period if not original and consists of a printed cotton dress covered by a nice linen ribbed overcoat and a cotton and lace sun bonnet which complements the overcoat nicely. SIZE: 19″ (48cm).
