ARTICULATED HORSE WITH TRAINER BY FALLOWS. To the best of our knowledge, this is the only known example to exist of this rare articulated platform toy. Fallows produced and cataloged a number of different articulated platform toys (10-12 variants). In exceptional paint, when the toy is pulled along the carpet the horse trots about by means of a wire attached to an excentric axle which the trainer’s arms bob about by means of motion. One can just imagine the trainer with whip in hand, simulated boots and a wide-brimmed derby style hat is giving commands to the horse. The green base is highlighted with yellow trims and glides along the floor with small six-spoked iron wheels. SIZE: 9″ l.
