NEW ENGLAND SHERATON FIGURED MAPLE AND MAHOGANY BOW FRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. Circa 1840. The rectangular top with bow front and turret corners above the conforming case fitted with four bowfront long drawers with mahogany crossbanding, cockbeaded edges, and tiger maple panels, flanked by engaged reeded columns, the whole raised on cylindrical ring turned legs on suppressed ball feet. SIZE: 43-1/2″ h x 45″ w x 23-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Professionally restored and repolished. Seam shrinkage crack at rear of each side panel, left rear side with possible burn damage.
