HERMAN T. SCHLARDERMUNDT (American, First half of the 20th Century) THE SKETCHING TRIP. Unsigned oil on canvas scene shows man and woman seated beside tree in landscape. They are being sketched by a woman seated with easel and pallet. The back of the stretcher is inscribed with artist’s name. Also there is an old piece of masking tape “This painting was done in Eastford, CT Esther Harmon, Lucie Harmon and Peter Schlardermundt in picture”. Front left of painting inscribed “To Esther From Peter 1934”. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 13” x 17”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-26762 (1000-2000)
