GROUP OF FOUR IVORY CARVINGS. 19th Century. The first depicting an immortal on horseback mounted on a hardwood stand, signed on haunch of horse . The carved wooden inro with calligraphy and a carved hardwood netsuke and ajimi. A Japanese carving of a figure with backpack in the form of a fanciful bird signed on base together with a Japanese carving of a male figure. SIZE: 1. Overall 5-1/2″h. 2. inro 3-1/4″l; ajimi 3/4″l; netsuke 2″l. 3. 4-3/4″h. 4. 4-3/4″h. CONDITION: 1. Very good overall. 2. Very good. 3. Damage to cord around shoulder and plinth needs reattaching. 4.
