FINE HERIZ RUG, NORTH PERSIA. Early 20th century. Blue/black arabesque poled medallion on madder red field within turquoise and terracotta stepped spandrels. The whole populated with geometric floral vinery. Blue/black main border with polychrome lotus blossoms and angular trelliswork. SIZE: 7′ 1″ x 10′ 2″. CONDITION: One 2-1/2′ long section of end with areas of old inactive insect damage, colored in. Otherwise with even wear throughout. Colors remain vibrant. 9-22621 (3,000-5,000)
