TWO IVORY CARVINGS. Japan, 19th Century. A figural group of two women reading together with a figure of a boy with a puppy. SIZE: Ladies 4-3/8″h; boy 3″h. CONDITION: The first with a roughness to base, otherwise very good. The second with slight damage to toes. Handle of scythe missing in proper right hand and small chip to dog’s muzzle.
