NEW ENGLAND CLASSICAL CARVED MAHOGANY DROP LEAF TABLE. Mid 19th century. The rectangular top with hinged shaped leaves above the conforming apron fitted with a single drawer and opposing sham drawer, the ends with gadrooned carving, the corners with acorn pendant finials, joined to a columnar pedestal on a rectangular base with concave edges, raised on winged acanthus-carved claw feet on brass casters. SIZE: 29-1/2″ h x 21-1/2″ w x 39″ d. Open 59″ x 39″. CONDITION: Retains original finish with dark brown color. Two areas with old losses at hinges. Structurally good. Finish needs repolishing. 9-96528 (600-900)
