DOOR OF HOPE MALE MOURNER. A somewhat uncommon Door of Hope doll, this gentleman/mourner features a hat not commonly found. Finely carved with a wonderful outfit, carved wooden hands that are intact and in very fine all original condition. This doll as well as the following three were brought back to the U.S. by the missionary Rebecca Cloud Stewart and have always remained together for the past 85+ years. The small paper pinned to the shirt is the original hand written tag from Rebecca Cloud Stewart. SIZE: 11-1/2″. CONDITION: Facial carving has very, very light soiling. Otherwise very fine. 1-9777 (1,000-1,500)
