EARLY STEIFF BEAR. Charming early Steiff bear with button in left ear with “underscored f” mark. With large so-called shoe button eyes, brown stitched nose and mouth and claw delineators, with swivel neck, swivel arms and hips with hump on back and original felt pads. Bear has been in the same family since its original purchase in the early 1900s. SIZE: 19 1/2″ (50cm). CONDITION: Overall dusty with a tear in the right center torso with some wear on the left side of snout. Slight fur loss throughout the body. Due to the brown stitched nose he likely was a white Steiff. 1-12958 (2,500-4,500)
