UNSIGNED (Chinese, 19th Century) PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN WITH HARP. Outstanding oil on canvas Oriental Export portrait shows a woman in elegant black dress with gold earrings and chain seated on a high back red upholstered settle playing a large gilt wood harp. Her ostrich plumage decorated bonnet is behind the harp on a stand. She has an adjustable wooden music stand with open music score to her left. The background a pleasing green color. Housed in a modern gilt wood frame. The back indicating a relining in 1959. SIZE: 32″ x 26″. CONDITION: All over thin craquelure, very good with minor inpainting. 9-97564 (1,500-2,000)
