TWO TIN WINDUP CABS. Lot includes GK and Greppert & Felch Cabs. GK is in remarkable original condition showing little wear, especially to wheels. The brake handle has a gold wash and is still vibrant as is the orange, black and cream coloring. Both tin cowl lights are intact, which would be the first things to break off, due to their flimsy nature. Features opening rear doors to passenger compartment and luggage rack on roof. The second vehicle is reminiscent of the Arcade cast iron cab with opening rear doors, but in tin. Marked “American Yellow Cab Co.” on both sides. SIZE: 6-3/4″ l and 7-1/4″ l., respectively. PROVENANCE: John F. Gale Collection, Cambridge, MA. CONDITION: GK is very fine to near mint. Some very fine paint crazing to black engine cover. Second vehicle in poor condition with three replaced wheels and detached but present left front fender. 1-12408-17 (600-800)
