GEORGE HATHAWAY (American, 1852-1903) PAIR OF LIGHTHOUSE SCENES. Both identically housed in original gilt gesso decorated frames which are “as is”. 1) Oil on board scene shows Portland Headlight with connected buildings on rocky point with crashing waves. Signed lower left. 2) Oil on board scene shows a sailboat passing a lighthouse in the middle of a bay, possibly Portland, Maine. Signed lower right. SIZE: 6″ x 10″. CONDITION: 1) Vertical bend with cracks in board right of the lighthouse with old repaint which could be restored again. 2) Very good. 9-93224 (1,500-3,000)
