UNSIGNED (Italian School, 18th Century) WOMEN’S CHORES. Large oil on canvas landscape scene shows the foreground with three women, one with basket on head and water jug at small bridge with stream. A woman milking a goat while another woman with basket and large jug stands beside. Next to the goat are three steer and two sheep. The scene overlooks a walled village beneath a castle nestled near large mountains. Housed in a 19th Century antique gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 26″ x 33″. CONDITION: Relined having several patched to reverse, restored with inpainting. Generally very good. 9-95026 (3,500-5,500)
