DAISY NO. 40 MILITARY STYLE BB GUN.

DAISY NO. 40 MILITARY STYLE BB GUN. Cal. BB. NSN. Unusual military style air rifle with 25-1/2” bbl/receiver combined with sheet metal front sight and adjustable open rear sight. It is mounted in a 1- pc full-length stock with a sheet metal bbl band and sling eyes with an adjustable canvas sling. It is accompanied by an original Daisy sheet metal, pseudo-bayonet that mounts over the muzzle like a socket bayonet on a real rifle. CONDITION: Bbl/receiver retains traces of original blue in sheltered areas, being mostly a dark brown patina with moderate pitting. Wood is sound with moderate use and handling nicks and scratches and retains 85-90% original varnish. Bayonet retains most of its original blue with light scattered surface rust. Sling is soiled with some worn spots, but completely intact. All in all, a rare little set. 4-53177 JR439 (300-500)
