UNSIGNED (Italian School, 18th Century) BATHING IN THE GROTTO. Oil on canvas scene shows three women in a cave like area with tall ceiling and tree in a tidal pool bathing. A wood stair ramp is seen from right side opening. A bay area is beyond the opening with a mountain. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame with a replaced liner. Stretcher having an old label marked “No. 23… Salerno,… Salvatore Rosa”. SIZE: 23-1/2″ x 17-1/2″. CONDITION: Relined, inpainting, craquelure, very good. 9-95027 (4,000-6,000)
