TELEPHONE CHIMES BELL TOY. Manufactured by Ives, Blakeslee & Williams Co. A satirical bell toy in the form of a monkey answering the telephone, saying, “Hello, hello?”. Elaborately cast, depicting a seated monkey with a telephone receiver to his ear, TELEPHONE CHIMES embossed on right, HELLO HELLO embossed on left. In the middle are two bells topped by cast gilded lead birds and the front of the toy has the head of a flamingo, the frame is carried on the sensational clown-faced wheels. SIZE: 8 1/2”. CONDITION: Overall condition is very fine, lacking wings on one bird. JL 1-4060 (1,500-2,000)
