AMES U.S.N. FOULED ANCHOR FLASK. Large copper body dbl sided flask, 9-1/4” overall length including a 1-1/2” spout. It has “N.P. Ames” on one side of the top and the date “1843” with script initials “JL” on the other side. It has a small “P” proof on the collar and “R.” initials on the neck of the flask. CONDITION: Good to very good. Spring is broken and one screw is missing, otherwise it is fine under a very heavy coating of old patina, with a couple of small dents. 4-51174 JR928 (200-400)
