ASSEMBLED PERCUSSION BLUNDERBUS. NSN. 70 Cal. 13” part oct bbl. Marked “WM READ & SONS / BOSTON” on the lightly engraved lock and “B J BONE, LONDON” on the top flat of the brass bbl. There are Birmingham proof marks on the left quarter flat. The stock appears to have been made as a fowling piece with a much shorter wrist than normal. Engraved brass furniture. CONDITION: Lock has been cleaned to bright. Bbl tang is deeply pitted. Brass parts have a very dark patina. Stock is sharp and shows very little use. Mechanically good. Wm.
