NAZI COMMEMORATION LUFTWAFFE DAGGER.

NAZI COMMEMORATION LUFTWAFFE DAGGER. Usual Luftwaffe configuration with 12” double edge blade, blue leather handle cover with twisted silver wire and round swastika pommel cap in a blue leather and silver sheath. Blade is etched on one side with a blue panel having three Nazi eagles with swastika’s in their talons and oak leaf and acorn patterns. The other side has a similar panel with the inscription “For Commemoration of My Service” in German. Handle has a silver sword knot. Blade is marked “E.P. & S”. CONDITION: Good to very good. Blade retains 85-90% of its original polish with most of the panels’ blue background intact. Handle wrap shows wear but is complete. Most of the gold wash on the pommel cap is worn away. Sheath is complete with the leather showing nicks and scratches and moderate wear. Metal is tarnished with a dent on the throat. Aluminum hanger and chain show moderate wear. 4-48371 JR462 (400-600)
