*WINCHESTER MODEL 1917 MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 358357. Usual configuration with “6-18” Winchester marked bbl, Winchester bolt and unmarked, un-cartouched walnut stock and hand guard. The stock has a smooth steel buttplate with trap containing a nickeled original oiler, complete with brush and pull through. An early leather military sling accompanies it. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, probably unissued, retaining virtually all of its original factory finish to both metal and wood. Bolt is possibly an old replacement as it shows moderate wear. There are a couple of chips by the floorplate in the stock, otherwise is fine with a few spots of mildew around the buttplate. Crisp mechanics and brilliant shiny bore. 4-52784 JR452 (500-800)
