HORSTMANN NON-REGULATION CAVALRY SWORD. 33-1/2” dbl fuller blade, etched on both sides with “W.H.HORSTMANN / & SONS / PHILADELPHIA” on the right side, which also contains a stand of flags, an American eagle, and “E. PLURIBUS UNUM.” “U.S” and two stands of flags are on the left. The hilt is cast in one piece of brass. “IRON:PROOF” on top of the blade. The leather scabbard has replaced throat and drag. CONDITION: Gray patina on the blades with heavy edge wears. Brass has some tiny dents but has a nice patina. Scabbard has been resewn with a new leather tip replacing the drag & a soldered brass throat. 4-54146 FS39 (250-400)
