NON-REGULATION HORSTMANN MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SWORD. 32” dbl fuller blade, etched on both sides with “W.H.HORSTMANN / & SONS / PHILADELPHIA” on the right side. The eagle and banner containing “E. PLURIBUS UNUM.” “IRON PROOF.” is etched on the spine of the blade. The iron guard has the American eagle cut as part of the design. Iron scabbard with brazed seam along the lower edge. CONDITION: Gray patina on the blade with moderate pitting at the tip. Hilt and scabbard are covered with a heavy brown patina. Several small dents in the scabbard and there are several areas where the ray skin covering is worn away from the grip. 4-54999-10 FS44 (300-500)
