*SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1898 KRAG RIFLE. Cal. 30-40 Krag. SN 443496. Standard rifle with 30” rnd bbl, pedestal mounted front sight, military ladder rear sight, mounted in a straight grained American walnut full length stock with grasping grooves and straight grip with smooth steel buttplate with trap. It has a short hand guard. The left side of the wrist has a crisp square cartouche dated “1903”. CONDITION: As new. Probably unissued. Retains virtually all of its fine arsenal finish to both metal and wood. There is a scratch down the left side of the butt and minor handling and storage marks.
