GALLE LILY POND VASE. Truly outstanding Galle vase has cameo cut lily pond design with lily pads floating in a pond with tall iris flowers extending up the length of the vase with brown stems and light blue flowers. Hovering beside the iris is a large, nicely detailed dragonfly with brown body and blue wings. The pond scene gives way to subtle, almost indistinct trees in the background. The cameo decoration is all set against a background of subtle yellow shading to cream. The vase is finished with three seashells lightly acid cut into the foot. Signed within a lily pad with engraved signature “Galle”. SIZE: 16-1/4″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-68633 (8,000-12,000)
