FINE NEW HAMPSHIRE SHERATON INLAID MAHOGANY SOFA. First third 19th century. The padded back continuing to downward curving arms and reeded swelled supports with flaming birch inlaid panels centering the rectangular upholstered back and bench seat, raised on four frontal reeded cylindrical legs, headed by flaming birch inlaid panels, with ringed cuffs, the rear legs incurved. SIZE: 72″ l. PROVENANCE: Nathaniel Liverant and Son, Connecticut. CONDITION: Rear legs pieced 3/4″; retains old surfaces, very good overall. 9-92835 (2,500-3,000)
