HANDEL CATTAIL FLOOR LAMP. Rare Handel floor lamp has metal overlay shade of cattails, stems and leaves against an eight panel caramel slag background. The cattails extend from the bottom of the shade to the shade ring and are obverse painted with green leaves and brown pods. The shade rests on a classic Handel floor base with bulbous foot, vertically ribbed stem, five socket cluster and openwork fleur de lis cap. Shade is signed with applied “Handel” tag. Base is signed on the side of the foot with impressed block letters “Handel”. SIZE: Shade is 24″ dia. Overall 66″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some very minor wear to patina. 5-68485 (15,000-20,000)
