JOHANN BERTHELSEN (American, 1883-1972) “CENTRAL PARK, NYC”. Pastel scene shows tall buildings beyond water and trees. Lights shine and reflect on water. Pencil signed lower right and dated “1940”. Housed in its original stepped silver gilt wood frame with matte. Back having a removed but retained Salmagundi Club Exhibit label with artist and title. SIGHT SIZE: 18” x 24”. CONDITION: Some of the pastel coloring has lifted and is present on inside of glass and some waves in paper. 9-90019 (3,000-5,000)
