REMINGTON NEW MODEL #4 REVOLVER WITH ORIGINAL BOX. Cal. 38 RF. SN 20114. Nickel finish, 2-1/2” rnd bbl with short single line marking, blade front sight, 2-pc checkered factory hard rubber bird head grips. Accompanied by an orig 2-pc green cardboard box with instructions on inside of cover. Bottom box marked in pencil “Bought in 1890 / never fired”. Stamped on bottom end “FULL PLATE. / NO. 4-38, / RIM FIRE.” Inside box is an offer for an insurance policy for five cents & signed on reverse by “J.P. Lovell Arms Co. / 3/24/91” CONDITION: Excellent. Shows little wear with bright blue remaining on screws & pins, sharp grips. Bore is fine. Mechanically fine. Box is scuffed on edges with two repaired corners & one repaired edge. Note: Consignor states that holes in box are from being tied together with fishing line to prevent people from opening box.
