GROUP OF 9 EARLY POWDERHORNS & POWDER MEASURES. This small selection of horns includes 3 early powder measures and 7 horns, including a small pistol priming horn with early scrimshawed rosettes, one initialed “NH” (New Hampshire). Another nice small scrimshawed horn marked “James Thurston of Wolfborough NH” (New Hampshire), carved with various rosettes and other incised decorations; very nice late 18th or early 19th C. horn. A flattened priming horn with silvered charger & butt, small calling horn with tin mounts, together with 3 other small early horns. SIZE: Varies from 2-1/2” to 10”.
