PAIR OF REMINGTON SMOOT POCKET REVOLVERS SEQUENTIALLY MARKED “32” & “33” FOR CAMDEN CITY POLICE WITH HOLSTERS. Cal. 32 RF. 1) SN 171. Engraved in script on butt strap “Camden City Police No. 32”. Nickel finish, 2-3/4” ribbed oct bbl with one line markings on bbl, blade front sight, 2-pc factory checkered hard rubber birds head grips. Accompanied by a dark brown form fitting leather belt holster. CONDITION: Very good. Metal surfaces have been polished & touched-up except hammer & trigger which retain their orig casehardening. Grips are worn smooth on the high spots. Bore is lightly pitted. Mechanically fine. Holster is missing a couple of stitches but is otherwise fine. 2) SN 753. Engraved in script on butt strap “Camden City Police No. 33”. Nickel finish, 2-3/4” ribbed oct bbl with one line markings on bbl, blade front sight, 2-pc factory checkered hard rubber birds head grips. Accompanied by a dark brown form fitting leather belt holster. CONDITION: Metal surfaces have been refinished except the hammer and trigger which retain half of their casehardening colors. Grips are worn at the high spots. Action is fine. Note: A third revolver was found at Old Town Station in Lenexa, Kansas by an acquaintance of consignor. It had similar markings but with number “41”, (serial number 150) & was accompanied by a small badge for a Constable, Camden County. Since it is apparent that these pistols were supplied to Constables, it may explain why such low powered pieces were used by the police department.
