FIVE PIECE BING TRAIN SET. Number 1 gauge. Nice early Bing lithograph steam locomotive with clockwork motor and early wheels. Boiler is green and black with red and gold striping, probably litho; great looking sand dome; steam chest is loose but all there and complete. With matching four-wheel tender in same coloring and condition, with all couplers and buffer intact. Absolutely fantastic postal car in medium green litho with red and yellow trim, marked “Post Paris / WIEN” with a lot of detail with postal sign on one end, roof is black, frame is black. Early car embossed on each end “GBN” in big letters. A beautiful and very hard to find car. First class car in beautiful red color with yellow and rose colored striping, with the “GEN” embossed on end of car, couplers are complete. Second class car in dark blue litho with peacock, yellow and orange trim, embossing of “GEN” on end. All cars have gray roofs with minor chips. Overall appearance of set is very good, makes a great presentation. Unusual set because all car bodies have the curved sides. Fantastic early train set. CONDITION: Locomotive: very nice condition with minor nicks and scratches here and there, overall appearance is very good plus. Postal car: a few chips on roof and some very minor chipping and a little wear. First class car: some minor wear and aggravation where roof meets body, one or two minor little chips, overall nice plus condition. 1-7855 (700-1,200)
