TAHAN INLAID LETTER BOX. Magnificent letterbox has delicate wood inlays around the entire box and is trimmed with a fine ornate ormolu band around top, bottom and has ormolu feet. The lid lifts and double front doors open to expose a diamond matched veneer interior with covered compartments and drawer. Piece is signed on the brass lock plate on cover “Tahan”. SIZE: 16-1/2” x 12-1/2” x 9-1/2” t. CONDITION: Some minor damage to veneer inlay at corners, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-71735 (5,000-10,000)
