CASED FACTORY ENGRAVED REMINGTON NUMBER #2 SMOOT REVOLVER. Cal. 32 RF. SN 305. Circa 1875. Nickel finish with 2-3/4” ribbed oct bbl with standard one line bbl markings, blade front sight, mother-of-pearl grips. Floral scroll engraving on bbl, cyl & complete frame. Accompanied by a 8-1/8” x 4-3/4” green velvet lined hardwood casing with a brass nameplate on lid. This is a period case restored by consignor. It is partitioned for the revolver, a full box of 32 RF short ammunition by UMC & six extra cartridges which are included. Also includes a key which operates box lock. Consignor purchased revolver from Flayderman Collection. CONDITION: Excellent with slight losses on the left side of hammer. Grips are fine. Bore & action are fine. 4-59407 JH100 (1,500-2,500)
