ALBERT W. WEIN (AMERICAN, 1915-1991) “PROMETHEUS”. The dark brown bronze depicting a muscular nude male struggling to carry a shrouded object and appearing to be among stylized clouds, mounted on a black marble base. The statue with incised markings as follows: “WEIN sc 1947” above a copyright symbol (C) and ’87 3/12 followed by what we believe to be the foundry mark for Luigi Tommasi, Piertrasanta, Italy. All markings are located at rear of the statue at juncture of base.
